Class IV Laser Therapy
Gentle, drug-free help that keeps you moving
What is Class IV Laser Therapy and how it works
Class IV laser is a therapeutic device that delivers specific wavelengths of light at higher power than low-level “cold lasers.” That light penetrates soft tissues and is absorbed by cellular structures—especially the mitochondria (your cells’ “batteries”). This process (called photobiomodulation) can:
Boost cell energy production
So routine repair processes run more efficiently
Improve microcirculation and lymphatic flow
Helping move inflammatory waste out and bring nutrients in
Modulate pain signals
Reducing local sensitivity so movement feels safer and more doable.
None of this is magic; it’s physiology. Laser doesn’t replace rehab; it protects your ability to do rehab consistently when pain would otherwise knock you off schedule.
Who it helps (and when)
Tendon and fascia pain: Achilles, patellar, tennis elbow, gluteal tendons, plantar fascia—especially when sore, tight tissue makes loading difficult.
Arthritic flare-ups: Knees, hips, shoulders, or spine-adjacent soft tissues where stiffness and ache limit daily activity.
After biologic injections: Eases post-PRP or A2M soreness so you can stick to the graded loading plan.
Acute strains/sprains (post-assessment): Once serious injury is ruled out, laser provides a gentler on-ramp back to movement.
Later post-op phases (with surgeon’s OK): Comfort support while you rebuild motion and strength.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many sessions do I need?
Most people do 2–6. If we don’t see value by our checkpoints, we stop or change course.
Can I combine it with injections or PT?
Yes—and that’s often where it shines.
How fast will I feel better?
Some feel easier movement immediately; others need a couple of sessions. The key is pairing laser with the right plan between visits.
